BioPVC cards are made with 99% PVC that fully biodegrades within nine months to five years of continual exposure to microorganisms. Biodegradable hi-co mag stripe PVC cards perform just like standard 100% PVC mag stripe cards. They maintain their integrity under normal, everyday use: they can get wet, be stored on a shelf or in a wallet, be printed on or UV-treated. Biodegradation takes place only when the cards are in a fertile environment in which microorganisms are present (e.g., soil, compost, trash dump, water, etc.). Biodegradable PVC cards also leave no ecologically-damaging toxins once degraded.
Bio CR8030 high coercivity mag stripe cards are ideal for applications where the cards will be frequently swiped or need to have a long life, such as access control and/or time and attendance cards. High coercivity mag stripes store information more securely than low coercivity magnetic stripe cards because of the higher level of magnetic energy required to encode them. This also makes information on bio hico mag stripe cards harder to erase and more resistant to damage form most magnets or magnetic fields. These cards are designed for use in direct-to-card printers with encoding capabilities.
High coercivity cards can generally be identified by a black magnetic stripe; whereas the mag stripe on low coercivity cards is generally brown.
HiCo bio PVC cards are graphic quality and are the standard, most commonly used plastic card size, measuring 3.375” x 2.125” (the size of a credit card) and 30 mil thick. CR80 30 bio cards are also known as CR8030 or CR80.030 bio cards.
